Hot-dip galvanising is one of the most effective ways to protect steel against corrosion, but sooner or later most galvanised structures require repairs, modifications or maintenance.

Whether you’ve repaired rust damage, added a bracket, drilled new mounting holes, or carried out welding work, the exposed areas need to be protected – and that’s where CRC Galva Shine really shines.

More than just another silver anti-corrosion spray, Galva Shine has been specially formulated to closely match the colour and appearance of freshly hot-dip galvanised steel. It’s the ideal solution for restoring both the corrosion protection and professional finish of repaired or modified galvanised components.

Whether you’re working on gates, fencing, handrails, trailer chassis, galvanised roofing, structural steel, signposts or building frameworks, Galva Shine blends seamlessly with the original galvanised surface, making repairs far less noticeable.

By comparison, ordinary silver paints and generic protective coatings often stand out against existing galvanising, leaving obvious repair marks that detract from the finished job.

FAST DRYING MEANS LESS DOWNTIME

When maintenance schedules are tight, drying time matters. On that note, Galva Shine becomes touch dry in under five minutes and handle dry in less than ten minutes, allowing maintenance work to continue with minimal interruption.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Galva Shine is ideal for touching up and protecting:

Transmission towers

Utility poles

Highway safety barriers

Weld repair areas

Structural steel fabrication

Gate and fence manufacturing

Mining platforms

Conveyor structures

Cut or drilled edges

Solar mounting frames

Electrical support brackets

Livestock fencing

Irrigation systems

Steel sheds and agricultural buildings

APPLICATION TIPS

For the best finish:

  • Thoroughly clean the surface before application.
  • Remove all rust, dirt, grease and loose material.
  • Shake the aerosol well for at least one minute.
  • Apply two light coats rather than one heavy coat.
    Allow 5–10 minutes between coats.

PREPARATION IS KEY

For maximum protection, remove all existing corrosion before applying Galva Shine. We recommend treating rusted areas first with Q12 Rust Remover, an acid-based rust converter that can be brushed onto vertical surfaces and hard-to-reach areas. This ensures a clean, stable surface for the Galva Shine coating to bond to, resulting in a longer-lasting repair.

Whether you’re carrying out maintenance on industrial infrastructure, repairing farm equipment, fabricating structural steel or simply touching up galvanised components, CRC Galva Shine provides a durable, professional-looking finish that blends with the original galvanising while protecting against future corrosion.
